Committees Seeking Volunteers
SVU is currently seeking volunteers for the following committees (listed alphabetically). Click each committee to learn more:
Academics Committee
Supports educational initiatives and resources for vascular ultrasound educators and training programs.
Advocacy Committee
Represents the voice of vascular ultrasound in policy and regulatory discussions impacting the profession.
Awards Committee
Oversees the SVU awards program and recognizes excellence in service, research, and leadership.
CME Committee
Reviews and approves educational programming for CME credit and helps ensure quality continuing education opportunities.
E-Learning Committee
Develops webinars and explores innovative digital learning opportunities for SVU members.
Membership Outreach Committee
Focuses on member engagement, recruitment, and retention while promoting the value of SVU membership.
Publications Committee
Provides strategic oversight and direction for SVU’s journals and publication efforts.
Volunteer Expectations
Committee volunteers should be prepared to:
- Maintain active SVU membership in good standing
- Participate in at least one virtual meeting per month
- Contribute approximately 3–5 hours per month
- Commit to a 1–2 year term
How the Process Works
Submitting the interest form lets SVU know you would like to be considered for committee service. As part of the application, you will:
- Select the committees you are interested in
- Rank your committee preferences
Committee appointments are made by committee leadership in collaboration with SVU staff and leadership.
Please note: Submission of the form does not guarantee placement. Appointments are based on committee needs, available openings, and overall alignment.

Application Opens: Monday, April 27
Application Deadline: Monday, May 25
SVU will continue to accept volunteer interest beyond this date on a rolling basis, as opportunities arise.
