Welcome to the SVU Blog

When SVU made our online presence more noticeable and accessible a few years ago, we realized that we needed a team of people who were passionate about education, vascular technology, and creativity to lead the charge. Through our strategic plan, we formed the Media Development Committee and asked for volunteers from the membership.

The response was overwhelming. Nearly 50 people volunteered their time and talents to help shape the vision and work of this committee. Because of your involvement and feedback, SVU now provides webinars eligible for CME. These webinars have become an excellent way to hear superb speakers on a variety of pressing topics. Anyone can access these talks, provided you have the proper internet connection.

Because of your involvement, we also have reshaped the SVU website, updating the content and providing access to all of the activities going on at SVU.

Another perk? We’ve created a blog (you are reading it now), a space to share thoughts and ideas related to vascular technology, the profession, and the personal stories that impact our lives on a daily basis. Our goal for this blog is to create discussion, but also to inform and share the goings-on of folks within our membership.

We have several connected platforms available, including the SVU Facebook page and the SVU LinkedIn group. Our hope is that this blog is a new avenue, one to bookmark and to read and respond to as we move forward.

I am grateful for the members who volunteered to oversee and contribute to the exciting member-driven changes happening at SVU. It is an exciting time to be a vascular technologist and an even more exciting time to be a part of SVU.
