Basic Trigonometry that you should know for the RPVI Exam:
  1. You should be able to determine the cosine of the basic angles (0 degrees, 30 degrees, 45 degrees, 60 degrees, 90 degrees, etc.).
  2. You should know in which quadrants the cosine is positive and in which it is negative.
  3. You should understand the rate of change of the cosine as the angle varies around basic angels (very non-linear behavior).
  4. You should be able to associate Doppler behavior with the cosine.
  5. You should know the convention of how angles are always measured (relative to the x-axis).
